2018 - Hydrodesulfurization
Catalyst Market is expected to witness high growth in the
forthcoming period. Hydrodesulfurization is a chemical process used in natural
gas and refined petroleum. Aim of the process is to reduce the amount of sulfur
in the petroleum by increasing amount of hydrogen in the product. Thus,
desulfurization is used to treat the conversion process with adequate amounts
of hydrogen to remove sulfur from petroleum products and natural gas in the
presence of a catalyst. Sulfur produces sulfur oxide which is individually
responsible for acid rain.

The hydrodesulphurization
catalyst method is used to decrease sulfur quantities from refined petroleum
products and natural gas by increasing amounts of hydrogen in order to prevent
poisoning of process and causing atmospheric harm. The sulfur produced annually
largely comes from desulfurization method. Hydrodesulfurization, alternatively
known as hydrotreating is an established refinery process for reducing sulfur,
nitrogen and aromatics while enhancing octane number, density and smoke point.
Catalytic reforming is a
chemical process used for converting petroleum refinery napthas distilled from
crude oil with low octane ratings into high octane liquid products called
reformates. Reformates are premium blending stocks used for high-octane
gasoline conversions.
The process of removing sulfur
and creating products such as ultralow sulfur is known as hydrotreating process
with the purpose of reducing to the point of eliminating sulphur dioxide
gaseous emissions by the use of fuels in automotive vehicles, railroad,
aircraft, locomotive, ships and residential and industrial furnaces. This forms
the driving factors for the hydrodesulfurization catalyst market.
